Dallas C. Harmon, 79, of Mikado, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Alpena. Born August 25, 1937 to Clayton and Bertha (McGuire) Harmon in Mikado, MI, he was a lifelong resident. Dallas worked in the Pulp Wood Industry, and enjoyed driving truck. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the Barton City Fire Department, and former Fire Chief. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 4141. Dallas was a member of the Mikado Goodfellows and of the Mikado Area Development (M.A.D.). He enjoyed the out of doors, especially hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn, and watching for eagles. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Grush, daughter, Eileen Blackbird, his son, Randy Harmon, stepchildren, Kelvin (Shelly) Grush, Emma (Dennis) Kinder, Julie Yonuss, and Bonnie (John Phillipson) Herrera, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one sister, Patsy Ludwig, and two brothers, Bill Harmon and Tom (Shirley) Harmon. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Harmon on March 18, 2015 and his grandson, Dustin Grush-Kinder on June 6, 2005. Mr. Harmon is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 12:00 pm until the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Rev. Char McGuire will officiate.
