Mabel M. Larson

Mabel M. Larson, 93, of Spruce, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born September 22, 1916 in Bad Axe, MI, she was raised in Barton City. On January 2, 1933, she married Carl Larson in Harrisville, and they were residents of Spruce. Carl preceded her in death on May 5, 1980. Mabel was a devoted homemaker, and took dear care of her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Stanwood, MI. She is survived by her daughter; Mary (Emery) Pinder of Harrisville, three sons; Eric Larson of Spruce, Carl Larson of Livonia, and Paul (Beatrice) Larson of Barton City, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, and three brothers. Mrs. Larson is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 29, from 2 until 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, September 30 from 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am. Elder Max Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spruce.
