Robert Jack Milligan

Robert Jack Milligan 91, lifelong resident of Alcona County, passed away June 21st, 2017 at Lincoln Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Community, Lincoln, Michigan. He was born to James and Effie (Jack) Milligan on August 7, 1925. He served proudly in the U.S. Army 332nd Engineers from 1945 to 1947 in Frankfurt and Wiesenbach, Germany. On March 15, 1948 he married Illa Hough. They had been married 60 years before her passing in 2008. Bob was an avid hunter and loved talking hunting and guns with his friends, family, and especially his Grandson Kirk. He was preceded in death by his wife Illa and his son Robert Milligan. He is survived by his brother-in-law John Hough of Denton, NC, daughter Donna Belt and Grandson Kirk Belt of Lincoln, Granddaughter Karen Bila, Grandson-in-law Paul Bila and Great Granddaughters Ashley and Natalie Bila of Hudsonville, MI. and many nieces and nephews. Upholding Bob’s wishes a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations honoring his memory may be given in his name to Hospice of Michigan for their love and support.
