Ellis H. Dillon

Ellis H. Dillon,81,Harrisville, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at home. Ellis was born Oct.12, 1927 in Bluefield, West Virginia where he was raised. He was a longtime Detroit resident, where he was employed by The Uniroyal Tire Company, retiring in 1976 and moving to Barton City. He was a charter member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141 and was a foster parent in Alcona County. Survivors include three sisters, Hazel Messer of Warren,Blanche Peeler of Paducah, Ky and Juanita Rose of Portland OR, two brothers, Vernon of Madison heights and Delbert(Madalyn) of Ormond beach Fl, his dear friend, Jane Lawrence and serveral nieces and nephews. Four sisters, Leona Cavin,Sylvia Clark, Betty Fairess and Bonnie Moore and two brothers, Vincent and Kenneth preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Barton City at 2:00 P.M.. Rev. Doug Messer will officiate.
