Elizabeth G. Kerr

Elizabeth G. Kerr, 91 of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, formerly of Greenbush, Michigan, died May 15, 2017. She was born November 30, 1925, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Glenn and Esther Weigle. They moved to Bay City in September 1938. On September 4, 1948, Elizabeth married John Thomas Kerr. They moved to Greenbush, MI in September, 1961. Elizabeth was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, was a Past-President of the United Methodist Women, was former secretary of the church council board and a Sunday school teacher. Elizabeth was life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a past matron, a past grand-committee member and a past delegate of Michigan to Delaware. She was also a member of the Greenbush Chamber of Commerce. Elizabeth is survived by her children Michael of Alpena, MI, Patrick (Brian Boston) of Gurnee, IL, and Lora (Alan) Shillair of Lincoln, Grandchildren Andrew (Amber Scholtz) Kerr, Adam (Terry Schultz) Kerr, Darrin (Megan Wickman) Shillair, and Kelly (David Johnson) Shillair; step-grandchildren, Mark (Patricia) Divney, and Chris Divney, and two step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Florence Koehler, Jean Behrmann, and Ruth Ann Rafferty, brothers Frank (Jan) Weigle, and Robert (Patricia) Weigle, brother-in-law Robert Hogan, sister-in-law Annie (Glynn) Silverthorn, and many niece and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, John, on March 25, 2015, a sister Mary Louise Hogan, 2 brothers, William and Richard Weigle, daughter-in-law Glenna Kerr, brothers-in-law William Kerr, Gerald Rafferty, Edwin Behrmann, William Novess, and sister-in-law Mary Catherine Novess. Friends may visit at the Harrisville United Methodist church on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the memorial service at 11:00 A.M.
