Robert T McMahon Sr., born April 29, 1936 to the late Joseph and Gladys McMahon, passed away Tuesday May 2, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Flint, MI, where he met and married Phyllis Hays on December 10, 1955. They were longtime residents of Grand Blanc, MI. Bob was employed by Trojan Laundry for over 20 years before moving to Greenbush, MI in 1971. He then found work in East Tawas, MI at Tawas Tool. For many years, Bob enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Huron Baptist Church in Oscoda and also attended Cherry Creek Baptist Church in Valdosta GA, where he and Phyllis enjoyed spending winters. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis; eight loving children, Linda (Doug) Miller; Robert (Janet) McMahon Jr.; Richard McMahon; Shelly (Duane) Griggs; Dave (Lynn) McMahon; Jackie Raduns; Christopher (Jamie) McMahon; and Shawn (Carrie) Weiss; 22 awesome grandchildren; 32 and counting adorable great grandchildren; an extremely loving sister Gladys (Larry) Farlow; along with countless other friends and family members whom were all blessed to know him. Visitation will be held at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, MI on Saturday, May 6th from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Viewing will continue at the funeral service at 4:00 PM at the Huron Baptist Church in Oscoda. Bob's wishes were to be cremated. Family would appreciate memorial donations to The American Red Cross Organization.
