Lloyd R. Schrade Sr., 75, of Mikado, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at his home. Born September 30, 1941 to Edward and Hazel (Miller) Schrade in Mikado, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He married Sharon Joseph in Lincoln on August 7, 1965. Lloyd loved the out of doors, and worked for his family’s pulpwood business, Schrade Forest Products. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a past member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141, the Mikado Goodfellows, the Mikado Area Development, and he served 56 years with the Mikado Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, daughter, Sherri (Larry) Truman of Harrisville, son, Larry (Ronda) Schrade of Holly, two grandchildren, Jessica (Al) Truman and Kyle Schrade, two great granddaughters, Madison and Abigail Morgan, sister, Beatrice Schrade of Lincoln, two sisters in law, Edith Mendyka of Lincoln, and Shirley Wirgeau of Glennie, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Lloyd R. Schrade Jr. in 1993, and by three brothers, Donald; Ralph; and Douglas Schrade. Mr. Schrade is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City, MI.
