Lynda A. Skiba

Lynda A. Skiba, 69, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at her home. Born November 11, 1947 to Lloyd A. and Evangeline (Frennett) Saker in Windsor, Ontario, she was raised in Mt. Clemens, MI. Lynda worked as a cosmetologist, and taught cosmetology at Utica Community Schools. On February 7, 1986 she married Ronald Skiba, and they were residents of Shelby Township. They moved to Harrisville in 1983. Lynda loved to cook, and worked as a cook at Jamieson Nursing Home and the Alcona County Jail. She enjoyed the out- doors, especially hunting and fishing. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. Lynda is survived by her husband, Ronald, her son, Michael Messerschmidt, one stepdaughter, Joan (Michael) Whitfield, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters, Sharon (Lon) Fairchild, and Elizabeth ( Terry) Robinson, two brothers, Michael (Lisa) Saker and Patrick Saker, one sister in law, Carole (John) Wright, and one brother in law, Clement (Norma) Skiba. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four stepdaughters, Nancy Kowalewski; Lisa Irvin.; Marie Barylski; Karen Richter. Private services will be held.
