Betty Lou Kelly, 77, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her home. Born April 23, 1939 to George and Agnes Berschied in Denison Iowa, she was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. Betty enjoyed a career in civil service, working as a housing manager at several Air Force bases, including Wurtsmith Air Force Base. She also worked with Alcona Health Centers as a medical transcriptionist. In 1956, she married Earl Kelly. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2000. Betty moved to Lincoln in 2003. She enjoyed reading and crochet. She was a devoted mother, who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by two daughters, Renita Sue (Mark) Moody of Traverse City, MI; and Shannon Kelly of Denver, CO, one son, Tim (Cheryl) Kelly of Harrisville, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Joyce Berschied of Houston TX; and Bobbie (Ray) Fencil of Alpena, MI. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Berschied. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. No services are planned at this time.
