Willie Nadeau,68, of Barton City died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at home. He was born October 11, 1940 in Monroe to Willis and Ethel (Livernois) Nadeau. Willie served in the US Army including three years in Germany prior to his discharge. On August 28, 1962 he married Mary "Bev" Ramsey. They were residents of Monroe, moving to barton City in 1996. Willie was a longtime Ironworker before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local 55, Toledo Ohio. He was a member of the Rockwood Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141. An avid outdoorsman, Willie enjoyed all forms of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed building and repairing everything. Willie was proud of his long term sobriety and made himself available to help anyone suffering. His wife preceded him in death on March 3, 2006. His parents, brother Fred and his nephew Fred Jr. also preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, David of Pugsley, his daughter, Denise (James) Cairl of Mikado,his granddaughter, Melanie Cairl of Monroe, three brothers, Larry of Hillsdale, Ed (Nancy) of Monroe and Dan(cindy) of Newport,one sister, Mary Staelgraeve of Reedley CA and one sister in law, Ruth Nadeau. A memorial service for Willie will be held at 11:00 A.M, Monday August 17, 2009 at St Raphael Catholic Church, Mikado, with Rev.Fr. Bissot officiating. Memorials may be given to AA General Services of New YYork or any consevation fund in his name. Creamtion arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
