Edna Marie LaBrecque

Edna Marie LaBrecque,86, went to be with the Lord August 9, 2009. Edna was born on the family farm in Flushing on December 29, 1922 to Andrew and Anna Krawiec. She married Lawrence A. (Frenchy) LaBrecque on October 8, 1942. They were married for 59 1/2 years. He preceded her in death in June of 2002. Besides being the faithful, loving and caring wife, mother and homemaker that she was, she was employed at Saley's Meats in Flint, AC in Flint and she retired on disability from the GM Truck and Bus in 1974 with 25 years seniority. She and her husband moved from Flushing to Spruce, residing at Hubbard Lake. She will live forever in the hearts of her children, daughter Constance(William) Cooper of Swartz Creek, and sons, Gary(Carol) LaBrecque of Flushing, Lanny LaBrecque of Prescott AZ, and Ronald LaBrecque of College Station TX.,her six grandchildren, Stephen (Betty) LaBrecque,Brian(Theresa)LaBrecque,Kristen LaBrecque,Kevin(Sandae)LaBrecque,Carrene Coope and Brecque (Brian) Forgie, eleven great grandchildren, Averi,Rachel,Jenna,Heather,Hanna, Haley,Evan,Ryan,Karisa, Austin and Sydnie. Besides her parents Edna was preceded in death by her siblings; John Krawiec, Edward Krawiec, William Krawiec, Victoria Kulis, Valentine Krawiec, Felix Krawiec and Josephine Sefernick, one niece and four nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 P.M. and on Thursday from 2- 8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation continues from 10 A.M. until the funeral at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Ossineke. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials suggested to Avalon Hospice.
