Eugene Malanyn

Eugene Malanyn ,84,Harrisville died Monday, June 29, 2009 at home. Born September 21, 1924 in Detroit, Gene Served in the Army in WWII. Gene graduated from Wayne State University and the Detroit College of Law. He was emlpoyed by the University of Michigan,Packard Motor Company,the Ford Motor Company,before practicing law in Dearborn. He served as Alcona County prosecutor for several terms before retiring. Gene was a member of the American Legion Mikado Post 254,AMVETS, PLAV, St. Anne Catholic Church of Harrisville and was a member of the Harrisville City Council. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Malanyn Miller of Lake Worth Fl and Maria Malanyn of Harrisville, his son, Mark Malanyn of Dearborn Heights,and his grand children, Andrew,Lauren and Katelyn Malanyn. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate. His family will begin receiving friends at 12 noon.
