Ronald A. Nagy, 76, of Black River, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena. Born April 22, 1940 to Andrew and Sophie (Brill) Nagy, in Detroit, he was raised there. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ron worked as an inspector for Ford Motor Company, at the Sheldon Road Plant, retiring to Black River after more than 30 years. He loved NASCAR, and the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved living in Black River, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ron is survived by his sister-in-law, Susan Nagy of Lincoln, three nieces, Sara (Tim Stockton) Nagy of Bloomington IN, Stephanie Nagy of Livonia, and Rebecca Nagy of Bloomington IN, three nephews, Joseph (Cindy) Nagy of Taylor, and John (Winifred) Nagy of Henderson NV, as well as eight great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Frank Nagy. There will be a memorial mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Mary Church, 34530 W. Michigan Ave, Wayne MI, 48184. Memorial Donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
