Douglas E. Beckley

Douglas E. Beckley, 62, passed away July 31, 2016 in Harrisville. He was born on January 19, 1954, to Lavergne and Pauline (French) Beckley in Grand Blanc, MI and grew up in the Genesee area. In 1987, Douglas moved to Barton City where he was a painter. He enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, was an avid music lover and a devout Christian. Douglas was an outdoorsman, a loving father, and a loving companion. He is survived by his fiancée, Louisa Sjogren of Harrisville; his son, Kevin (Melissa) Beckley of Harrisville; his step-daughter, Tracie Beebe (Angie LaVergne) of Lincoln; his step-son, Justin "JJ" Sjogren; three brothers, Richard “Rick” (Sharon) French, David Beckley, Rob (Terry) Beckley; two sisters, Nancy (Steven) Hill and Joanne (Sean) Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rachael and Chelsea Beckley. Funeral services will be announced later in the fall. Arrangements are being made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
