Wallace J. Blondin, 86, of Spruce, passed away June 11, 2009 at Tendercare of Alpena. Born June 11, 1923, to Adolphus and Eva (Dubey) Blondin in Flint, he was raised there. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1971, he married Esther Farlow in Flushing. They were residents of Flushing until 1987, when they retired to Spruce. They spent winters in Cape Coral, Florida, where Wallace was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post #8463. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 0342 in Flint. Wallace enjoyed reading, and spending time with his precious cat, Mickie. He especially loved boating, fishing, and tying his own flies. Wallace is survived by his wife, Esther, four sons; Larry (Sharon) Blondin of Chesaning, Michael (Sherlynn) Blondin of Turlock, CA, Steven (Carrie) Blondin of Roseville, CA, and Alan (Sofie) Blondin of Newark, CA, two stepsons; Michael J. (Barbara) Maxwell, of Flushing, and Kevin Thomas (Carol) Maxwell of Milford, 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, five step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren.
