Lee E. MacDermaid

Lee Everett Mac Dermaid, age 83 of Harrisville Mi. formerly of Flint died Saturday, May 30, 2009. Lee was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Flint and was raised there and Lincoln MI. He served in the Army in WWII and was employed by General Motors for 37 years, retiring as an inspector in 1988. He married Emily Van Wagoner on Sept.16, 1944. They resided in Flint from 1948 until retiring to Harrisville in 1989. Emily preceded him in death on July 4, 2002. Survivors include his son Roger of Harrisville, one grandson, Gene, one great granddaughter, Kachina, one step grandson Eric Siddons, one sister Idabelle (Ardel) Fox of Millington and two brothers, Gordon (Linda) MacDermaid of Durand and Robert (Sally) MacDermaid of Davison. A brother, Harry preceded him in death. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4- 8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home (gilliesfuneralhomes.com) Harrisville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 P.M. at the funeral home, Pastor Arie VanBrenk officiating. Burial will at Springport Cemetery, Harrisville.
