Leonard Morang Sr., 82, of Lincoln passed away early Sunday May 17, 2009. Born May 3, 1927 to Joseph and Lorinda (Young) Morang in Utica, MI, he was raised there. Leonard served in the United States Army during World War II. In 1957, he moved to Lincoln. He worked for the Alcona County Road Commission, retiring after more than 30 years of service. Leonard enjoyed hunting, and sports, especially baseball and football. He also loved a good game of cards. He is survived by ten children; Donald Alderman of Lincoln, Roxanne Ward of Harrisville, Leonard (Heidi) Morang Jr. of Lincoln, Russell (Linda) Morang of Alleton, Joseph (Donna) Morang of Minnesota, Naomi (Phil) Potter of Lincoln, Christopher (Lyn) Morang of Saginaw, Earl Morang of Almont, Lorinda (James) McGuire of Lincoln, and Thomas Morang of Chicago, 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Donna Morang of Lincoln. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Family will receive visitors beginning at 1 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 pm, with a meal to follow. Arrangements are in care of Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
