John Kaiser,88, of Glennie died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. Born December 19, 1917 in Port Huron to John and Mary (Lind) Kaiser, he was raised there. On Dec. 27, 1935 John married Marybelle Busha. A longtime resident of Port Huron, he served in the Navy in WWII and was employed by Chrysler in Marysville for 14 years. In 1948 they moved to Glennie. For 9 1/2 years John was employed by Orville Leslie and Sons in auto body repair, and retired after 22 years with Consumers Power where he was an Area Substation Operator. He was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Glennie and loved hunting, fishing, and making crafts. John wintered in Florida for many years where he enjoyed playing in a band. Survivors include two sons, Rich(Marie)Kaiser of Glennie and Ron (Karen) Kaiser of Oscoda, seven grandchildren, Kaye, Rick(Carrie), Mike(Carla), David(Chris), Donald(Tom) ,Dale(Kim), and Doug(Dawn)., ten great grandchildren, Tim(Carrie),Tina (John), Kari, April, Danielle, Melissa, Michelle, Mikie, Kayla and Megan, five Great Great grandchildren, Huston, Logan, Phoenix, Marlana and Ricky, two sisters, Mary Jackson of Port Huron and Kaye Paruch of Florida, and one brother Jacob of Charleston South Carolina. John was preceded in death by his wife Marybelle in 1990 , by his second wife Phyllis, a son Elton Edward Kaiser, a sister, Anna Green and a great granddaughter, Marlana. A memorial service will be held in May at the Our savior Lutheran Church in Glennie, and memorials may be made to the Our savior Lutheran Church. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
