Edward Peter Tront “Fast Eddy”, 87, of Barton City, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his home. He was born December 26, 1928 to Peter and Anna Elizabeth (Puskarz) Tront in Detroit, MI. Ed served in the U.S. Navy aboard the General William Mitchell. He married Elizabeth Turk on May 29, 1963. Ed has been a long time resident of Barton City. He was a member of the Burger Wiedbrauk VFW Post #8135 in Barton City, and of the Barton City Eagles Club, Aerie #4141. He enjoyed fishing and puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. Ed is survived by two sisters, Lucille Najduk and Adele Tront, and five nieces, Lynn, Cindy, Mary Jean, Nancy, and Lorraine, and three nephews, Peter, John Peter, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, his daughter, Susan Tront, and his sister, Genevieve Prsavage. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
