Margaret A Younk, 80, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at her home. Born December 5, 1934 to Ralph Lucken and Ruth Jayne (McGinnity) Gregg in Seattle, WA, she was raised in Seattle and Portland OR. On July 31, 1954, she married Dale Aloysius Younk in Seattle. Dale served his career in the U.S. Air Force, and they moved to the Harrisville area in 1966. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother, and was known for her ability to “take care of problems”, both at home, and at work in the moving industry. She enjoyed wildlife, especially feeding the birds and taking care of her chickens. She was an avid gardener, taught piano lessons, and enjoyed snowshoeing. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret ‘Meg” Elise Younk of Harrisville, seven sons, Edward Anthony (Beth) Younk of Mikado, Michael Aaron Younk of Falls City, Oregon, Robert Aneas (Debbie) Younk of Harrisville, Mark Andrew (Elizabeth) Younk of Harrisville, Paul Arnold (Linda) Younk of Falls City, Oregon, and Gerald Arthur (Amanda) Younk of Oscoda, 21 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one sister, Kathryn Jeanne McIntosh of San Diego, California, two half-sisters, Laurie Nicol and Lonna (Robert) Applebee, and one half-brother Robert Gregg. She was preceded in death by her half-brother Ronald Gregg, and her brother-in-law, Don McIntosh. Mrs. Younk is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Laraine Sundin will officiate. Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
