Claude Sidney Buchanan

Claude Sidney Buchanan, 81, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born September 1, 1934 to Claude Mckinley and Georgia Gertrude (Johnson) Buchanan in Detroit, he was raised there. Claude proudly served in the US Air Force from 1953-1957. He was a long time resident of Lincoln Park, and later moved to Warren. In 1999, he moved to Harrisville. He was an avid card player, and loved animals, especially his beloved canine friend, “Lucy”. He is survived by his dear partner, Joyce Ratz, daughter, Darlene (Ronald) Kuebler, two sons, Brian (Lori) Buchanan and Wayne Buchanan, two stepsons, Kevin Ratz and Keith (Sherri) Ratz, nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Anthony and Jacob Buchanan. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
