Jerry Vernon Cox

Jerry V. Cox, 64 of Lincoln passed away Friday, February 19, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw. On December 21, 1966, he married Barbara Hays in Pontiac, and they were residents of Auburn Hills. Jerry retired from General Motors and they moved to Lincoln in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife; Barbara, his daughter; Sonia (Greg) Sherwood of Auburn Hills, five grandchildren; Robby (Michelle) Harden, Maxx Harden, Dan Harden, Melissa Stiffler, and Amy Sherwood, 5 great grandchildren; Aurora, Josh, Alyssa, Gavon, and Rylan, his mother; Jessie (Smith) Cox of Hamilton Ohio, his sister; Alice (Charles) Wyatt of Hamilton Ohio, two brothers; Terry Cox of Hubbard Lake, and Ronnie (Young) Cox of Georgia, his father and mother in law; Robert and Louise Hays, sister in law; Christine (James) Combs, and brother in law; Curtis (Joyce) Hays, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; Samuel Cox, and his brother; Scotty Cox. Mr. Cox is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 11:00 until the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm.
