Sierra Jean Wallenmaier “Jeannie”, 67, of Alpena, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 19, 2015 after an enjoyable vacation in Petoskey. She was born October 27, 1947 to Emil and Eva (Gawne) Kruttlin in Standish, Michigan. Sierra worked in sales most of her life, most recently at Dean Arbor in Tawas and Alpena. She married Eugene Wallenmaier on July 4, 2009 in Oscoda, and they lived there and in Alpena. Sierra was an avid football fan, and enjoyed watching games. She also enjoyed the water, especially canoeing, horseback riding, ceramics and flower decorations. She was a fan of country music, especially Toby Keith, and enjoyed attending his concerts. She is survived by her husband, Eugene, two daughters, Carrie (Johnnie) Haines Hemming of North Carolina, and Nikki (Nathan) Miske Cline of Hawaii, two sons, Arthur (Susan) Haines of Texas, and Matthew Haines of North Carolina, four grandsons, Bryce, Eli, Nic, and Marcus, her mother-in-law, Hazel Wallenmaier of Alpena, step-daughter, Lisa (David) Lacorazza of Massachusetts, step-son, Barry (Kim) Wallenmaier of New Hampshire, and two brothers, Claude and Fred Kruttlin. There will be a memorial service Friday, September 25, 2015, at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln at 2:00 PM. Dr. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
