Lillian J. Burke, 72, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home. Born November 17, 1942, to Roy and Regina (McFarland) Cicotte in Lincoln Park, MI, she was raised there and in Allen Park, MI. On June 7, 1977, she married James Burke in Allen Park, MI. They were residents of Livonia and Farmington Hills. Lilly worked as a switchboard operator for the U.S. District Court in Detroit, and administrative clerk for the Pretrial Services Agency in Detroit, and as a receptionist for the Michigan Human Services Agency in Livonia, before retiring to Harrisville in 2001. Lilly enjoyed painting landscapes, creating silk floral arrangements and playing the piano. She is survived by her husband, James Burke, her daughter, Dawn Wyatt of Troy, four grandsons, Brandon M. Keilman of Grand Rapids, John Wesley, Nathaniel and Seth Dixon Wyatt of Troy, one granddaughter, Tessa Lillianna Wyatt of Troy, and one great grandson, Will Keilman of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her half-sister Joy Conley, and three half-brothers, Roy B. and Harry Cicotte, and Matthew Harris. Mrs. Burke is at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville, where friends may call on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Ernest Ruemenapp will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Harrisville. Memorial donations suggested to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
