June Michaud

June Michaud, 92, of Mikado, passed away January 19, 2009, at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. Born March 10, 1916 to Nelson and Tressie (Lymon) Barlow in Mikado, she was a lifelong resident. On June 30, 1933, she married Alfred Michaud in Mikado. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1990. A devoted homemaker, June took great pride in caring for her family. She was an excellent cook, and also liked to tend to her garden. She is survived by two sons; Vernon Michaud of Lincoln and Robert (Connie) Michaud of Howell, MI, six grandchildren; Scott (Angie) Michaud, Todd (Bill) Michaud, Brad (Laurie) Michaud, Brian (Kristan) Michaud, Jolynn (James) McClaney, and Rory (Bill) Schonoist, eleven great grandchildren; Sydney, Drew, Garrett, Jacob, Hannah and Nikolas Michaud, Brittany and Riann McClaney, Reed, Nicholas, and June Battjes. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Michaud is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Thursday, January 22, from 2 until 9 pm. Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Tedd Galloway will officiate. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery in the spring.
