Marie B. Franklin

Marie B. Franklin, 75, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at her home. Born September 20, 1939, to Fredrick and Marion (Greenfield) Sharboneau in Alcona County, she was a lifelong resident of the area. On July 6, 1957, she married Robert Franklin. Marie drove bus for the Alcona Community School system, and retired after 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, hunting, and fishing. She especially loved horses and attending horse shows, and watching her grandchildren at local sporting events. Marie has served as a foster mother to over 511 foster children. Marie is survived by five sons, Richard, Edward, Billy, Sheridan, and Terry (Donna) Franklin, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one sister, Donna Lawson, and one brother, Tom Sharboneau. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 24, 1998, one daughter, Debbie Sweet, one sister, Mariann Tompkins, and one brother Don Sharboneau. Private services have been held.
