Lucille M. Havercroft, 90, of Greenbush, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Born November 16, 1924, to Frederick and Maud (Landis) Jennings in Flint, she was raised there. In the early 1940s, Lucille worked for Bell Telephone in Flint. In October of 1945, she married Edgar Havercroft in Flint, and his career in the U.S. Coast Guard allowed them to live in several cities before settling in Greenbush, on Lake Huron. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Lucille was a talented artist, who enjoyed painting. She loved the water, and swimming, as well as sewing, and baking, especially cookies and pies. She was an excellent figure skater, and continued to watch it on television. Lucille is survived by three daughters, Trudie Root of Fairfax VA, Perrilee (Doug) Staples of Lawrence MI, and Nancy (Neal) Hook of Roscommon, MI, four sons, Frederick (Rose) Havercroft of Fenton, MI, Scott (Julie) Havercroft and Timothy (Dawn) Havercroft of Greenbush, MI, and Paul (Jill Slater) Havercroft of Mikado, 15 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar on May 8, 2007, one sister, Betty Grewe, and one brother Bud Jennings. Private funeral services were held at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, MI. Burial was in Springport Cemetery, Harrisville, MI. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alcona Lodge #292 F. & A.M. Scholarship Fund.
