Michael L. Effrick, SR.

Michael L. Effrick, Sr, 65, of Harrisville passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. Mike was born June 18, 1949 in Highland Park, Michigan to Peter and Ethel (James) Effrick. Raised in Harrisville, he graduated from Alcona High School and Alpena Community College. Mike lived in Burton and Redford Township before returning to Harrisville. He was married to Susan Hatter. He was an engineer, employed by several automotive companies, retiring from Centri Spray in 2006. Mike is survived by his wife, one daughter, Amanda (Bill) Fisher of Chesterfield, Michigan, one son Michael L. (Colleen) Effrick Jr of Howell, two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Lyla Fisher, two sisters, Annette (Peter) Murphy of Alpena and Carla (John) Bernard of Harrisville, one brother, James(Judy) Effrick of Lincoln and his first wife, Linda Somerville of Farmington Hills, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David. His family will receive visitors Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until the memorial service at 1:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Cremation arrangements have been made.
