Gordon L. Keller, 76 of Barton City, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at home. He was born April 24, 1932 in Los Angeles CA. to Lloyd and Mary (Ruehle) Keller. Raised in Detroit, Gordon served in the Marines during the Korean War. He married Allene Loudermilk 0n May 28, 1957. They were residents of Madison Heights from 1957 until moving to Troy in 1967. Gordon was a longtime employee of Chrysler Motors, where he was a mechanical design engineer. In 1994 he moved to Barton City, his wife preceded him in death on June 12, 2001. He was a member of the American Legion #254 of Mikado, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burger Weidbaruk Post 8135 of Barton City, the AM Vets of Mikado, Sunrise Moose Lodge 2529 of Greenbush the the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141. Survivors include his daughter; Linda Peeples of Escondido CA, three stepsons; Gary Sharum of Jeddo, MI, David Sharum of Clinton Twp., and Richard Sharum of Waterford MI, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, one sister; Pat Milles, two brothers; Jack Spadafore, and Karl Keller. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Beth Sharum on June 1, 2001. His sister, Karen Martin and his brother Donald Keller also preceded him in death. Visitation wiil be Friday, Dec.12 from 4-8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, and on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral at 1:00 P.M.. Spring Burial will take palce in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City. Memorials may be directed to Marine Corps League Toys For Tots.
