Robert L. Fink

Robert L. Fink, 87, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Tendercare Alpena. Born February 28, 1927 to Ralph and Clara (Braun) Fink in Flint, he was raised there. Bob served in the United States Army in occupied Korea. In 1946, he married Leona Slater Yuill, and moved to her farm on Yuill Road. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1976. In 1978, he married Jeannine Boucher Somers, and they lived in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on December 1, 1998. A skilled carpenter, Bob built many area homes, including the one he lived in. He enjoyed visiting with his many friends in Lincoln, and playing games, especially euchre. He loved trips to the casino. Bob was a talented musician, and played the guitar and harmonica. He is survived by his step daughter, Rose Anne (Arnold) Armstrong, his step son Tom (Doreen) Somers, three step grandchildren, Brenton Miks, and Michael and Chris Somers, several step great grandchildren, his sister, Elaine Suski, and his sister-in-law, Julia Atchison. He was preceded in death by his step son, Phillip Somers, granddaughter, Juleen Miks Wescholski, 8 sisters, and 2 brothers. Friends may call on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the memorial service at 11:00 at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate.
