Barbara Jean Antonides

Barbara Jean Antonides, 83, of Hubbard Lake, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born February 2, 1932 to Paul and Bertha (Lutton) Powell in Detroit, she was raised there and in Paducah, Kentucky. On September 10, 1948, she married Everett (Bud) Jay Antonides in Bowling Green Ohio. They were residents of Detroit, and retired to Hubbard Lake in 1988. Barbara was a member of the Hubbard Lake Ladies Club, and was elected president for two years. She was known for her jokes and sense of humor. She loved to cook and bake, play bingo, and work crossword puzzles. Barbara is survived by two children, Connie (Robert) Nelson and Michael (Nancy) Antonides, five grandchildren, Scott; Kelly; Kendra; Adam; and Megan, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 30, 2007, her granddaughter, Sarah, two sisters, Evelyn and Kay, and two brothers, Paul Jr., and Norman.
