Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson, 55, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at home. Born May 11, 1950 to Bernard and Patricia (Carew) Johnson, in Detroit, he was raised there. Mike worked several years in the Detroit Public School system before moving to Alma in 1977, where he worked at the Gratiot Community Hospital. He moved to Lincoln in the late 1980s and to St. Petersburg Fla. in 1995 where he worked in a restaurant as a cook. He returned to Lincoln in 2004. Mike is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Johnson and , his grandson Zackary Johnson of Midland, his dear friend Karen Beehr of Lincoln, his former wife Nancy Johnson of Sanford, his brother Bernard (Debby) Johnson of St. Petersburg Fla, and three nieces and one nephew. He is at the Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 17, from 3 until 5 pm, and from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral will be on Wednesday, January 18, at 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Memorials suggested to Michigan Post Polio Network.
