Esther Lucille Norris

Esther L. Norris, 75, of Mikado, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born on October 24, 1930 to Frank and Gertrude (Procunier) Nedo in Mikado, she was raised there. She moved to Louisiana in 1949, returning to Mikado in 1971. Esther was a past president of the Auxiliary to the American Legion, Mikado Post #254, and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado. She is survived by 3 daughters; Terry Bertone of Mikado, Susan Neal of St. Francisville, LA, and Rhonda (Ken) Banks, of Kansas MO. 2 step-daughters; Cathy Loftis and Shelby Norris both of Arkansas, 6 grandchildren; Jessica and Sarah Walker of St. Francisville LA, Chantel Cronk of Oscoda, Tiffany Reinersten of Las Vegas, Nev, Kelly Shaughnessy of Olathe, KS, and William Curley of Oscoda, and 6 great grandchildren; Preston Dunn, Riley and Gabriel Shaughnessy, James, Jocelyn and Janey Cronk, one sister, Edna (Jess) Stenson, of Montgomery AL, three brothers, Elmer (Verna) of Oscoda, Herbert (Sally) of Harrisville, and Howard (Carol) of Pinconning. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Lewis Dunn, and Eugene Norris, and two sisters, Erma Lee and Effie Fulsher. Mrs. Norris is at the Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Friday, January 13, 2006 from 4 until 8 PM. The funeral will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Steiner officiating. Burial will be in St. Raphael’s Cemetery in the spring.
