Ronald E. Balla

Ronald E. Balla age 73,of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born January 11, 1941 in Flint to Steve and Esther (Subora) Balla. Raised in Flushing, he resided in Flint, Port Huron, Rochester, White Lake, Waterford and Pinckney before moving to Harrisville in 1995. He was a Boy Scout Master including Eagle Scouts and a Girl Scout leader and program director for many years. He worked in sales most of his life including work in wood sales as well as operating a gas station. On July 3, 1994 he married Electa Harris. He is survived by his wife, five daughters Susan Balla of Canton, Judith (Patrick) Walsh of Utica, Erica (Andrew) Schneider of Columbus OH, Elena (Ronn) Fryer of Oscoda and Lynette (John) Heath of Harrisville, two sons, James Balla of Ortonville and David (Joan Melnick)Balla of Brighton, twelve grandchildren, Justin Kelley, Lisa,Steven, Benjamin, Noah and Stephanie Balla, Cristina and Samantha Domeier, Erik Walsh, Jordan Truxton, Grayson and Jamisen Schneider, two great grandchildren, Madalyn Harlow and Ezra Truxton, one sister, Carol Heckman of Gladstone and three nieces.
