Julia A. Sierota

Julia A. Sierota, 87, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born June 2, 1921 to Leo and Mary (Cilwa) Wojnar in Haynes Township, she was a life long resident. On November 16, 1940, she married Casmer Sierota in Harrisville. A loving wife of nearly 68 years, Julia was a devoted homemaker. She loved to play cards, especially pinochle. She also enjoyed bingo. Julia was a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville, and of its Altar Society. Julia is survived by her husband Casmer, one daughter; Judy (William) Stone of Harrisville, one son; Fred (Peggy) Sierota of Sellersburg IN, 3 grandchildren; Jeffrey Sierota, Timothy Sierota, and Jeremy Sierota, 5 great grandchildren, one sister in law; Beatrice Wojnar, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sierota was preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth Stone. Mrs. Sierota is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Sunday, October 12, from 2 until 9 pm, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00 am, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery, Harrisville.
