Patricia Anne Clayton, 76, of Mikado, died Thursday October 9, 2014 at her home. She was born in Detroit to Clarence & Lena (Garlik) Lenneville on December 29, 1937, and was raised in Westland. On July13, 1956 she married Gary M. Clayton in Melvindale. They lived in the Detroit area until moving to Wixom in 1965 and in 1990 Patricia and Gary made their home in Mikado. Patricia was a member of Alpena Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was hospitality leader. She loved to plan events such as weddings and school events. She was an avid student of the Bible, enjoyed gardening and home decorating. Patricia also spent many years working in the office of Clayton Tree Nursery & Landscaping. Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband, her daughter, Tammy Clayton of Mikado, two sisters, Sally(Tom Williams) Sobas ,of White Lake and Nancy (Carl) Beach of Plymouth, two grandchildren, Joel Clayton of Davison and Joshua Huff of Murfreesboro, TN., and two great grandchildren, Savanna and JadaLynn Clayton of Greenville, SC. Preceding her in death was her son, Gregory, her sister Bonnie Beeler, her brother Paul Lenneville, and one great granddaughter, Sierra Clayton. Visitation for Mrs. Clayton will be at Gillies Funeral Home, Monday, October 13, 2014, 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and again Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until her funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Pastor David Austin will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln, MI.
