Marian P. Wilburn, 76, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her home. Born December 28, 1931 to Joseph and Almina (Doyle) Ankner in Lincoln, where she was a long time resident. On January 20, 1949, she married Philip Wilburn in Muskegon. Marian was a fun-loving woman, who loved to go barefoot and turn cartwheels. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and farming. Marian was very active on the Hawes Township Board, proudly serving as Township Clerk for over 30 years, and serving on the Tri-Township Zoning Board. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lost Lake Woods Club, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Marian is survived by her husband Philip, daughter Pamala Idema of Lincoln, four sons; John of Lincoln Terry (Jane) of Oscoda, Curtis (Diann) of Lincoln, Andrew (Susan) of Greenbush, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, one brother; Joseph Ankner of Ossineke, two half brothers; Leo (Phebie) and Glenn Pearce of Lincoln, two half sisters; JoAnn Grant of Orange County, California, and Gloria (Dave) Loucks of Lincoln. She is also survived by her two very special friends, Jack and Susie. Marian was preceded in death by her sister; Louise Tucker, and two half brothers; Joseph and Richard Pearce. Mrs. Wilburn’s family will receive visitors on Monday, October 6, 2008 beginning at 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 am at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
