Marion E. Tartaglia

Marion E. Tartaglia, 86, of Harrisville passed away September 22, 2014, at Jamieson Nursing Home, Harrisville. She was born October 16, 1927 to Ira and Olive (Elmer) Johnson in Harrisville where she was raised. She moved to Algonac where she lived for several years before returning to Harrisville, Her first husband Keith Monnier preceded her in death on June 25, 1956. On September 6, 1958 she married Nick Tartaglia. Marion was a clerk for the District #2 Health Department in Harrisville for 32 years, a member of the Harrisville City Council for 28 years, the Harrisville Harbor Commission for 28 years, a former member of the Alcona Library Board , a former member of the N.E. Michigan Community Mental Health Board and was a member of St. Andrews by-the-lake Episcopal Church of Harrisville. Marion is survived by her husband Nick and three daughters, Cheri Ash of Harrisville, Nikki (Rodman) Smith of Las Vegas,NV and Lori Tartaglia of Traverse City , one son, Kim (Judy Fall) Monnier of Harrisville, six grandchildren, Jeremy (Katherine) Smith, Brandon (Lauren Nichols) Smith, Jason Monnier, Eric (Ann) Monnier, Stephanie Ash (Dan) Martin and Sydny Landon, five great grandchildren, Taylor Hutchinson, Avery Martin, Chelsee Monnier, Zean Monnier and Arean Monnier and one great great grandson, Carson Trier. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville, from 12 Noon until the memorial service at 3:00 P.M.. Rev.
