Agnes Christine Enger Boucher was born September 2, 1911, to George and Hulda (Pedersen) Enger in the family home in Leer, MI. She died on September 13, 2008. Her great joy in life was family in the greater sense of the word. Her experiences growing up in a household of 8 children plus cousins, aunts, and uncles moving in or near by provided the basis of her love and fellowship to others and service to the community. Marrying Paul Boucher on June 1, 1933, expanded her family to include her in-laws and the lifelong friendship of her sister-in-law Thelma Jacques. She traveled many times to Norway to connect with relatives there. As her family continued to grow, Agnes maintained her involvement with the community. As a member of the Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Lincoln, she served in many capacities including the Ladies Aid. She worked as a teacher for several years. Later she became the bookkeeper for the Alcona Community Schools, helping them through the consolidation period. Her gift for sewing allowed her to give service by making baby quilts, clothing for needy children, quilts to raffle for Habitat for Humanity, curtains for the high school, and costumes for school programs. Because of her volunteer work with many organizations, the Harrisville Lions Club named her Citizen of the Year in 1998. Agnes led by example and took great joy in living. Her family and community will miss her. Agnes is survived by her children; Joan (Mike) Crick, Ann (E.J. Connolly) Boucher, and Robert (Sue) Boucher, grandchildren; Heidi (David) Bauermeister, Brody (Hayden) Boucher, and Stacy (Eric) Wark, great-grandchildren; Gretchen and Katrina Bauermeister, and Bryce and Owen Boucher, sisters; Marie Christopherson, and Christine DeLong, and sisters-in-law Thelma Jacques, and Helen Enger. Crick on March 11, 1992,her brothers Byron and Iver Enger, and sisters Helene Mills, Martha Martinsen, and Jean Bauer.
