Henry C. Yates

Henry Yates, 88, of Harrisville, passed away July 13, 2014, at Cartwright House Hospice in Saginaw. He was born in Virginia on June 6, 1926. Henry served in the United States Army and Navy. He married Betty Mancine on June 17, 1978. He was employed by GM for 30 years and retired as a supervisor. They were residents of Taylor, moving to Harrisville in 1992. He was a member of the Alcona County VFW Post 6466 of Harrisville. Henry is survived by his wife, Betty, one stepdaughter, Nancy Wilson of San Leandro, CA, two stepsons, Matthew Wilson of Belleville and Chris Wilson of Alpena, MI, two grandchildren, Bradley and Danielle Wilson, and one sister, Norma Buchanan. Friends may call on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville. Rev. Linda Jo Powers will officiate.
