Mary Anne Witham, 65, of Black River passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born on September 21, 1942 in Lapeer to Walter and Theresa (Ciosek) Taylor, she was raised there. On May 27, 1966, she married Galen Donald Witham in Imlay City. Mary graduated from Hurley Nurses Training, and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She left her career as an LPN to become a devoted homemaker. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting. In 2002, Mary and Galen retired to Black River, MI. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Black River. She is survived by her husband Galen, two daughters; Anne Marie (Ben) Robertson, of Apple Valley CA, and Theresa (Jerry) Atkinson of Caro MI, two sons; Galen (Kelly) Witham of Millington MI, and Donald (Michele) Witham of Oscoda MI, 14 grandchildren; Charlotte and Angelina Witham, Chase and Hunter Maxon, Joseph Witham, Alexandra, Christopher and Andrew Robertson, Jeremy, Jacob, Logan and Lucas Witham, Emma and Bailey Atkinson, one sister; Theresa (Morris) Kelly of Mt. Morris MI, and three brothers; Walter (Karen) Taylor Jr. of Davison MI, Samuel Taylor of Ft. Lauderdale FL, and John Taylor of Davison MI. There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 11:00 am, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Ossineke Michigan; Fr. Stan Bereda officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
