Verneta M. Perdue

Verneta M. Perdue, age 85 of Spruce, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at her home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 4, 1929 in Saginaw to Julius and Hilda (Trautman) Lentner. She married Lowell (Don) Perdue on January 14 1956. They were longtime residents of Bridgeport. Verneta worked for Lufkin Rule of Saginaw for several years and then for Saginaw General Hospital where she retired as a Labor and Delivery Ward Clerk. She was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church of Saginaw. She is survived by her husband, one son Barry (Dr. Susan) Perdue of Frankenmuth, one grandson, Tyler Perdue, sister, Lois (Richard) Faubert of Bridgeport, brother, Emerald Lentner of Bridgeport, Sister-in-law, Beatta DonSang and Brother-in-law Gerald (Kathy) Perdue, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends from the Saginaw area as well as Hubbard Lake and Zephyrhills, Florida where she and Don spent their retirement years.
