Wayne Harold Jack

Wayne Harold Jack, 56, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008. Wayne was born on February 20, 1952 in Harrisville to Harold and Alexina (Broadwood) Jack. At the age of thirteen, he began working at the Alcona County Herald. A 1970 graduate of Alcona High School, he purchased the Herald in 1974. Wayne was a talented writer, and was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He is survived by two daughters; Lindsey Jack of Atlanta GA, Brianne Jack of Mt. Pleasant, one son; Chris Jack of Clarkston, his mother; Alexina Jack of Lincoln, one sister; Mary Weber of Kalamazoo, and one brother; Jim Jack of Hubbard Lake. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold. Friends may call at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 6:00 pm, until the Memorial Service at 7:00pm.
