Dale E. Byce

Dale Byce, age 62, of Lincoln, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born December 29, 1951 in Alpena to Dale and Elinor (Huffman) Byce in Alpena. Dale was raised in Lincoln and lived most of his life there. On April 1, 1989 he married Kathy Jo Schwartz. Dale worked as a butcher and horse trader throughout his life. He enjoyed working with horses and hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Kathy Jo Schwartz, his son, Jason (Stacy) of Bay City, his sister, Marsha (Calvin) Mahalak of Barton City, his brother, Charles (Stephanie) of Barton City, three grandchildren, Aurora, Ariana and Alexa Byce, five nieces, Michele (Ron) Wambold, Tara Byce, Emily and Katie Whaley and Melissa (Troy) Wortley, seven nephews, Tim (Yvie)and Andy (Patti) Byce, Michael (Erin), Charlie and Nick Schwartz, Colin Whaley and Justin (Erin) Mahalak, two sisters in law, Patricia (Chris) Whaley and Sharon Schwartz, two brothers in law, Tom and Joe Schwartz and close friend, Scott (Sara) Kroon. He was preceded in death by his brother in law Butch Schwartz and his parents. Dale’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, from 11:00 A.M. until the memorial service at 12:00 P. M..
