Kenneth Lee Smith

Kenneth L. Smith, 50, of Harrisville, passed away August 5, 2008 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. Kenneth was born on September 12, 1957 to William and Alice (Hinkelman) Smith. He served in the United States Marine Corp. On June 16, 2003, he married Elizabeth Smith in Harrisville. A dedicated employee of ITT/Cooper Standard of Oscoda, he never missed a day of work in the 19 years he was there. Kenny enjoyed old time rock and roll, and loved to play his drums, and guitar. A car enthusiast, Kenny liked hot rods, and rarely missed a car show. He was an animal lover, and enjoyed working in the out of doors. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, one son; Mark Smith, four stepchildren; Chanda Wearing, Nikkole Coutts, Milford Fowler II, and Ashley Fowler, 10 grandchildren, his mother, Alice Hinkelman-Smith, two brothers; Larry and Duane (Shelia) Smith, two uncles; Thomas and Carl (Nancy) Hinkelman, as well as numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kenneth is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where friends may call on Saturday, August 9, from 4 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm. Pastor Jimmy Bean will officiate.
