Rose R. Vukovich, 102, of Barton City, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Jamieson Nursing Home, Harrisville. Rose was born March 13, 1912 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph and Matilda (Cop) Vukovich and was raised in Barton City where she lived most of her life. She was a farmer and was employed by the U.S.D.A. office in Lincoln for several years. Rose was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville. Rose is survived by two sisters, Anna Vukovich of Alpena and Julia Kaun of Elgin Illinois, one niece, Gail Kaun of Chicago and two nephews, Albert Broadwood of Harrisville and Glen Kaun of Elgin Illinois. She was preceded in death by one sister Mary Broadwood and five brothers, Nicholas, Joe, John, Frank and Joe. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 12 P.M. until the funeral at 2:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Rev. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Harrisville. Memorials suggested to Alcona Humane Society.
