Theodore Alan Hopper (Ted), 81 of Black River, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at his home. Born on June 12, 1927 to Theodore Roosevelt and Edith (Gowland) Hopper in Detroit, he was raised there. Ted served in US Navy during WWII. On May 14, 1949, he married Mary Jane Jarman, and they were residents of New Boston. Ted worked as a Stationary Engineer for Detroit Edison, and retired to Black River in 1989. Beloved husband of Mary Jane, loving father of Preston (Deborah) of Jackson, Mark (Vicki) of Saline, Rodney (Betty) of Flat Rock, and Bruce (Lisa) of Waukesha WI., and devoted grandfather of 11. Memorials suggested to the Alcona Humane Society. Cremation arrangements by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
