Genevieve F. Perkins, 73, of Harrisville died Monday, July 28, 2008 at home. She was born in Alpena on June 25, 1935 to William and Marion (McGuire) Fowler. Raised in Harrisville, Genevieve married Wade H. Perkins, Sr. on May 23, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. They were residents of Tawas, moving to Flint and then were longtime residents of Mt. Morris, moving to Harrisville in 1991. Genevieve was a beautician for many years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Sherry (George, Jr.) Zinn of Clio, three sons, William (Kimberly) Fowler of Burton, Wade Perkins Jr. of Harrisville, and Daniel (Ilona) Perkins of Burton, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great randchildren, two sisters, Gertrude (Melvin) Ward of Mikado and Verda (Irvin) Ward of Mikado. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery, Mikado. www.gilliesfuneralhomes.com
