Jean McRae Kunow

Jean McRae Kunow, 96 of Greenbush, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Tendercare Tawas City. Born on February 23, 1912 to Alex and Sadie (Fraser) McRae in Greenbush, she was raised there. A graduate of Hurley Nurses Training in Flint, Jean worked as a registered nurse with the Budd Company in Detroit for 35 years. She retired to Greenbush in 1971, becoming very active in the community, and volunteering for many organizations. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Mrs. Kunow is survived by her daughter, Sharon McCann of Greenbush, two grandchildren, Jeff McCann of Garden City, MI, and Janene Lacey of San Diego CA, by one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jefferson. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Rev. Tom Welscott will officiate. Memorial donations suggested to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Harrisville. Arrangements entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
