Irene F. MacNeill, 95, of Ossineke, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, at her home. Born on January 5, 1913 to Henry and Martha (Lange) Sautter in Saginaw, she was raised there. After high school, Irene moved with her family to Lincoln. On September 6, 1933, she married Raymond O. MacNeill and they were residents of Lincoln. Irene was a devoted homemaker, and later worked at Lost Lake Woods Club as the “salad girl”. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lincoln, and was active in its Ladies Aide. Irene is survived by 5 sons, Glenn H. (Janice) of Lincoln, Terry Lee (Mary) of Freeland, Theodore Ray (Ruth) of Paw Paw, Tim (Marlena) of Hubbard Lake, and Mark D. (Patricia) of Barton City, one daughter Sherry Ann MacNeill of Ossineke, special friend Deborah Throop, 19 grandchildren, Bari, Brad, Brett, Brendon, Warren, Roger, Kelly, Kevin, Jill, Marcy, Laura, Rae Ellen, Ty, Trevor, Carson, Chesney, Yance, Chelsey, and Kaitlin, 20 great grandchildren, Amanda, Beau, Carly, Andy, Dylan, Kelsey, Hunter, Carol, Megan, Scott, Erryn, Tyler, Jessie, Nick, Ben, Alison, Alex, Christopher, Jay and Russel, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Duane on January 8, 2008, daughter in law Carol on June 2, 2002, two brothers, Leo Sautter and Harry Sautter, and two sisters, Helen Dubay and Gertrude Hausman. Mrs. MacNeill is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Saturday, July 19, from 5 until 9 pm. Visitation continues on Sunday July 20, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lincoln from 2:00pm until the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Pastor Michael Sheppard will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Northeastern Unit, or to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
